Privacy Policy

Overview
Image Color Picker is a free, browser-based tool for picking colors from images. We built it with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data the tool does and does not collect.
Image Processing
All image processing happens entirely within your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and JavaScript. When you upload, drag and drop, or paste an image, the file is read locally on your device. Your images are never uploaded to any server. No image data is transmitted, stored, or accessed by us at any point.
Local Browser Storage
The tool uses your browser's localStorage to store two types of data, both entirely on your own device:
- Theme preference – Your choice between light mode and dark mode is saved so the tool remembers your preference across sessions.
- Color history – Colors you pick while using the tool are saved locally so you can revisit them during your session. This data never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time using the "Clear All" button in the color history panel.
Neither of these data types is transmitted to any server. They exist only in your browser's storage on your own device.
Cookies and Tracking
Image Color Picker does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or any third-party tracking services. There are no advertising networks, no fingerprinting techniques, and no behavioral tracking of any kind.
Third-Party Services
The only external resource loaded by the website is Google Fonts (Geist and Geist Mono typefaces). When your browser loads these fonts, Google may receive standard server log information such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested.
Server Logs
Like most web servers, our hosting infrastructure may automatically log basic technical information when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and requested pages. These logs are used for operational purposes such as monitoring uptime and diagnosing technical issues. They are not used to identify individual users or track browsing behavior.
Children's Privacy
The tool is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
